The island of Gran Canaria in Canary Islands is recognized the "small continent". For more exciting excursion experiences in the island of Gran Canaria, tourists can go for the Teror village, which is surrounded by mountain ranges that are truly breathtaking. This village is well known for its pilgrim ships and various nice colonial-style houses. An old-town in the island that has impressive high coast of small bays picturesque, some major banana plantations, and nice parks is the Arucas. This town is well taken cared of by the locals. At north coast of the island is the Santa Maria de Guia where you can find the Cenobio de Valeron, a group of caves covered with petrifying volcanic lava. Along the seaside of the island is the Agaete with an impressive canyon filled with banana, coffee, avocado, and papayas plantations.
